Vespa SLX 150 & VLX 150 launched in India

Piaggio launches its new range of SXL and VXL Vespa scooters in India; prices ranging from Rs. 77,000 to Rs. 89,000

Piaggio India has launched its new range of premium offerings for the Indian market at an event held for the media in Mumbai: the Vespa SLX 125, VXL 125, SXL 150 and VXL 150. We are live at the event, and will keep this post updated as it happens. Keep refreshing the

page periodically for the latest dope on the four new scooter offerings.

Italian footballer and former Delhi Dynamos FC team member Alessandro Del Piero is on stage to unveil the new scooters. Piero, Vespa’s global brand ambassador, also launched the “Vespa for Children/Del Piero version” programme, where a Vespa signed by the soccer star was auctioned for charity.

The scooters are here. First up are the Vespa SXL 150 and VXL 150. Both are powered by 150cc 3-valve engines. Further engine details like power and torque figures are undisclosed as of now. They are also cosmetically the same as the SXL 125 and VXL 125, and the prime difference here between the two are, you guessed it, purely a matter of displacement.

On the features front, the new Vespa range comes with digital instrumentation, an 11-inch front alloy wheel, broader tubeless tyres at both ends, a front disc brake, and a monocoque steel body.

The Vespa SXL 150 and 125 are available in five colours: orange, matt black, white, matt red, and azure blue. The Vespa VXL 150 and VXL 125, on the other hand, are available in six colours: yellow, white, red, matt black, green, and maze grey.

The Vespa SLX 150 has been priced at Rs 88,696, while the Vespa VXL 150 is priced at Rs 84,641.The smaller SXL 125 has been priced at Rs 81,967, while the VXL 125 will set you back by Rs 77,308
