Harley-Davidson has launched the Street 750 cruiser for the Indian market at the 2014 Auto Expo. This makes the Street 750 the most affordable bike from the American manufacturers’ Indian line-up. The Street 750 is part of the Dark Custom motorcycle range and has been specifically made for young riders in developing markets like India.

The Street 750 gets a new liquid-cooled engine which the company calls as the ‘Revolution X engine’. The liquid-cooled engine of the bike has been mated to a six-speed transmission that transmits torque to the rear wheel through a belt drive. The bike gets Michelin tyres 100/80 x 17 in front, and 140/75 x 15. The braking is via a single ventilated disc brake units both for the front and rear.

The Revolution X engine will be housed in a new, narrow and lean chassis built for agility, with a super-low seat height, new suspension and broad handlebar sweep that provides confidence and maneuverability when managing tight turns and fast moves.

The Street 750 is being manufactured in India at the company’s facility in Bawal in Haryana and has been priced very competitively at Rs 4.1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
